SUMMARY:Ethical Objectivity (Seminar: Sociology and Empirical Philosophy)
DESCRIPTION:Fascism derives from the assumption that „might is right“\,
which resonates with a radical\, ontological relativism (e.g.“alternati
ve facts“). This seminar focuses on a spinozist understanding of ethics
that provides a powerful alternative by enabling us to think in terms of a
n ethical objectivity that breaks with selective historiography and the pr
 agmatics of Staatsräson.
