SUMMARY:Science against Fascism in the Age of AI
DESCRIPTION:Fascism does not only arrive through irrationalism or open anti
 -science. It can also arrive through the language of efficiency\, optimiza
 tion\, and progress. This lecture explores how AI and automated knowledge 
 systems can reinforce hierarchy while appearing neutral and rational. Focu
 sing on cognitive science’s role in the history and future of AI\, we wi
 ll examine the myths of neutral science\, the political consequences of au
 tomation\, and the limits of regulation such as the EU AI Act. The lecture
  ends by asking how science can become not merely truth-seeking\, but demo
 cratic\, contestable\, pluralistic\, and resistant to domination. The talk
