[Responsibility of Computer Scientists and Professionals in facing Techno-Fascism

Under the title „Responsibility of Computer Scientists and Professionals in facing Techno-Fascism“, the host Rehab Massoud (Wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin and Dozentin, UOL) will discuss with the guest/expert Rainer Rehak (Research Associate at Weizenbaum Inst. and the vice President of FIfF e.V.) to which extent are Computer Scientists and Professionals can actually affect the rise of Techno-fascism and fascism in general. As the ones who actually build the technology and who their research can have profound effect on how it can evolve and be used, we focus on two aspects: how much are they responsible for what technology we have now and will have in the future, and how what they should and can practically do to direct the technology towards paths that serve the society and help fighting fascism instead of empowering it.
