[Ethical Objectivity (Seminar: Sociology and Empirical Philosophy)

Fascism derives from the assumption that „might is right“, which resonates with a radical, ontological relativism (e.g.“alternative facts“). This seminar focuses on a spinozist understanding of ethics that provides a powerful alternative by enabling us to think in terms of an ethical objectivity that breaks with selective historiography and the pragmatics of Staatsräson.
