Juni 152, Institut für Architektur Raum 508 Tuesday, June 2, 12:00–14:00 – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – The Kiosk of Solidarity is an urban intervention project that brings solidarity practices into public space. Since 2023, more than 30 initiatives have activated the kiosk over 50 times in Berlin and beyond, creating spaces for encounter, mutual support, protest, and participation. The project amplifies the visibility of marginalized groups and connects them with broader networks of solidarity. In the Kiosk of Solidarity seminar, students will collaborate with local initiatives in Berlin and Frankfurt am Main to co-produce kiosk activities, contributing to design, logistics, documentation, and public engagement. In 2026, the project is part of the World Design Capital Frankfurt RheinMain program and works with initiatives in the Bahnhofsviertel district. Readings introduce key debates on solidarity in urban studies and the social sciences, while participants critically reflect on the social and spatial impacts of projects like the kiosk.
